State of the Union.

Here's my state of the union address
in which we determine whether or not we've stood time's test
how we've fared under duress
and if good enough was our "best"
so on me, all eyes rest
...but if the whole was blind, I guess I wouldn't dress to impress
and if the whole world were deaf, I wouldn't care to clear off my chest
and if the whole world were dumb, I wouldn't try to make sense
but if the world were all three, I guess we'd be in the U.S
where, we fight wars on "terror"

but you see, having a war on terror is just as stupid as a war on fear
but stupid is as stupid does
and stupid is as stupid was
so junior or senior, it's all the same brand of stupid cuz
in the U.S where Arabic means terrorist
and a brand new bearded Muslim immigrant just isn't prepared for it
where a Hijabi Muslimah trying to be opportunistic
comes with warm open arms only to find so much resistance
where they mask the truth with their "extremist" labels
and make children believe their "extremist" fables
so they use their, media abuse
to, "terrorize" the youth
to, trivialize the truth
but once you, get into that booth
then you can, do as you wish
and, say what you please
so I urge my young brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers...please
help relive and ease
the, stress on our fathers
the, death of our brothers
the, chests of our mothers
and the blood of our sisters
so here's my public service announcement mister...
Obama, Bush, Clinton, all your friends, or whoever it may be
my anger will never seize
until I see a "change" in what I see
on your, tv screens
in your, movie scenes
how you treat me, or my counterparts overseas
and how you attain your country's means...
but, by no means,
does that mean
I'm gona go and light up your towers
because then I'd just be the same thing as you
you, lowlife, selfish, thieving,
cowards...
